55 Ton Shay 8 Pin Plug

Unfortunately I read the messages about supporting the wiring harness on this product too late, and now have broken wires on the 8 pin plug. I messed up the plug trying to repair it, and Bachmann is sold out of these plugs.  I suspect they are a commercial product somewhere - but any idea where? Or if they were used in some other Bachmann product for which it might still be available?
