Does it come with installation instructions?  I have never had the loco apart. Does it show me how to do that?

It is pretty simple. Remove the coal load from the bunker. Next unplug the rear light noting the orientation of the wires for reassembly. You may have to loosen (not remove) the screws that hold down the circuit board to adjust the location of the wires to accommodate the sound board. Refer to the instructions that come with the sound module for proper orientation of the module.

Before you start the sound module installation reset the decoder in the locomotive following step 1 in the instructions on page 2. Suggest you consider the decoder reset as a requirement not as an option.
