New Custom V&T Boxcar

Hi guys. I just thought that I'd take a moment to share my new Virginia and Truckee #1015 boxcar. It was made from a Bachmann ET&WNC boxcar. Not perfect, but I think that it was the best choice of all the other similar boxcars available on the market.

On a sad note, I temporarily lost my #25 Anniversary locomotive right after making this video. I took it apart for cleaning and fresh lubrication. I managed to drop the middle wheel set on the floor, breaking the plastic sleeve that holds them together. I can buy a replacement set on bachmanntrains.com, but I am considering a complete, new chassis as I noticed that the screw pillars are split and it would require much longer screws to keep the bottom of the chassis attached to the top portion. The one is split pretty far down so I'm thinking that this chassis is a total loss. Unless there is a way to repair those screw pillars,it's toast.
