Battery Powered Radio Control is often used in large scale. It reduces the need for track cleaning and jumper wires.

You got the cart before the horse. It would have been better to have selected the control system you wanted then selected the track.

The answer to which control system is best depends on your wants, budget, mechanical and electrical skills.

Those using battery on board with R/C don’t see any advantage of the several other ways that are used by others. Others use a system taking the advantages of battery on board, DCC and R/C. While for others, the use of DCC and track power fits their needs. Others are very happy with running their large scale using DC.

Read and ask your questions in the Power and Sound Forums. Be vigilant to keep separate relevant facts from opinions. Sometimes it can be hard to make that separation. Place in proper perspective any recommendations based on "I have." Just because it is the only system for them does not mean it is the best control system for you.
