 i just bought BACHMANN SPECTRUM UNION PACIFIC GE DASH 8-40C DIESEL  i want to know how good they are?

my experience with the c40-8 is that they're decent runners comparable to any other bachmann split frame diesel. i had trouble with mine on 18r but they should handle 22r or wider curves wiith ease.

at one time i had 6 of them.  they're decent runners.  my problem was the sloppiness of the axles in their trucks.  under a heavy load the center axle would pop out of one side or the other causing the front or rear drivers to derail.

i don't see why all of you are having problems with these engines im happy with mine it a great puller run nice and slow  speeds  it does not derail at all yet
