Battery Powered Passenger Cars to Track Power ???

I got the "Pennsylvanian" Big Haulers set over a year ago as a present and I have loved the train and the beautiful detail and sounds.

However, I would like to convert my Passenger cars from 9v Battery powered to Track Powered. I have seen people have been able to do it, but i can't get how they did.

I would love it if someone has a simple yet clear way to do this? Such as Can I Use the Jackson Sharp Trucks and just hook them to the current power, or would there be more to it than just that?

I am not in a rush, but I'd Like to work on in it in the next month or so... as i am working on a new layout and would like to incorporate them then.

I don't mind the battery controlling the sounds... but i may like to look into that in the future.
