telephone pole spacing

could someone please reply to the spacing for telephone poles on a n gauge layout as i don't have a n scale rule. thanks in advance

Mine range from 8 to 13 inches.
Some are what they are just because it looks correct to me or a structure i
n the way dictated a long or shorter run..
Like the !:! poles t depends on what is in the way or not in the way.

II believe I have read when I searched this subject for my poles that power companies
use from 100 ft to 125 ft in urban areas to 125ft
and even more in country settings.
This is for the wood or concrete utility pole.

As a person who works on poles I can tell you Ken is right.  The spacing depends on the terrain.  I live in Kentucky and there are places where our poles are 50 feet apart and places where they go up to about 200 feet.  They also vary in height anywhere from 15 feet (yes i'm serious) to 100 feet tall.  I work on the Tv line and I have never had to go over 65 feet to reach it and only a couple times to that height Cable is normally only about 30-40 feet up.
