I have not used Bachmann track before and wondering when it is put on plywood, does it need a bse under it and what is the proper way to attach it to the base or plywood

I use Woodland Scenics "roadbed" which represents ballast. Set up your track, outline it with a pencil, then glue the ballast strips down. Glue down the track then and you will have very quiet operation except for the nice sound of metal wheels on railjoints and if you have sound-equipped locos, it sounds really good. Be sure to keep the glue away from the moving parts of the turnouts.

Bachmann EZtrak comes with a plastic base. It needs to be painted & ballasted to look better. You can attach it directly to the tabletop unless you want to try some foam "scenery". Structures may need a shim to get them up to rail height.

Regular snap trak or flextrak will need a shim to get them to mate with EZtrak. You may want to mix in other brands of code 80 rail & turnouts.
