i really am starting to avoid modern diesels and have been trying to stick with steam. i do like older diesels and industrial diesels. I really want to get a sound engine (mainly so my friend could get off my back on the subject) i loved this 4-6-0 i found but the whistle ruined the whole thing in my opinion. ( http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/Bachmann-Spectrum-HO-84904-4-6-0-With-DCC-Sound-p/bac-84904.htm ). Trying to look for something under $200.

Any suggestions?

Looks like you found one under $200.00. Modify the sound when you get the loco. The Tsunami has different sound modification options.
Buy it.

That's not the greatest audio for that loco.   The sound cards normally have a number of different whistle options.
Do as Rich suggests and change the CV when you get it.   If you do some You Tube searches you may find other versions of this loco with the whistle sound you like.

Sound is very subjective, including what you hear from your PC speaker.
I have a couple nice links to a fellow who has some You Tube videos that evaluate different DCC sound speakers. Even then, there is no guarantee that I will achieve the same results.

At that price, I am going to buy one myself and play with the sounds as my NCE Power Cab does that very well. I have installed my own Tsunami decoders and modified the sound to suit my seventy year old ears.

As I have said before, DCC is not plug and play. A large part will be experimenting.
You do not have to count all the rivets, just some of them.

The Tsunami decoder in that engine will have a choice of 3 different whistles to choose from.

I just ordered one with Tsunami, NYC for $172.77, including shipping from another source.

That seems like a good price. Where did you order it? Thanks
