N doodlebug runs jerky and derails

Spectrum DCC doodlebug running on Kato track runs jerky and derails. It looks like wheel flanges are not too small. Derails on straight away. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any solutions?

Make sure that the track is clean and that the wheels are in gauge.
