help needed , is it possible to turn off the light on the DCC equipped Fa unit whilst running in reverse ?

It's a pretty primitive decoder (as far as available CV settings), but you might be able to do something with CV52. Manual here - http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/dcc.php
