I recently saw on the Bachmann site where there are animated stock cars with price as TBD. When are those expected to be available?

Dear mickey,
We should have info by the NMRA Convention.
Stay tuned!

Any updates?  Site still says coming.

Hi Bach Man or Yardmaster,

Any update on these, I am thinking they will be a hit, I know I will have to have one  :) ;D!

MSRP??    Expected or scheduled delivery with the understanding it will be subject to change.

It will be great if they are here before Christmas.

The MSRP is $129.00. We are still not sure when they will be galloping in. We'll keep you posted.

Just received the CB&Q animated stock car with Cattle from Trainworld.
The animals are suspended from a plastic bar which balances on a pole in the center of the car. They bob randomly back and forth to some extent.

I Have one question though.
The built date printed on the car says BUILT 4-28
I was under the impression that Bachmann put the actual production date on their cars? Has that changed?

Loco Bill Canelos

Tardisious,

Thanks for the interesting pictures.

They did do that on some Christmas and circus items mostly, but otherwise there is no pattern.  Most prototype cars Box, stock, tank, gon & caboose, D&RGW etc have more realistic build dates, but many have no build date at all. Simply said there is no consistency in what they do with 1:22.5 cars.  All the decorated 1:20.3 cars have prototypical data and build dates.  Your CB&Q car being a prototype style car has a more realistic build date.

Have fun with the new animated car!!

Oh, okay that explains it. I have mostly circus cars with actual production dates.
Converting this animated car to circus now. Maybe replacing the cattle with some decorated horses. Didn't buy the animated horse car because I didn't want black. By the way, the cattle are weighted and quite heavy

Great idea to convert it to a circus car, definitely a great enhancement to any circus train. 8)
