Hi all,

I know a few of you want to get started in OO9 modelling, and I couldn't think of a better way then to make a big, written out tutorial on making your layout and stock! Hope you enjoy it when it all comes together, and hope it inspires you to join in on the narrow gauge side of things.

Part One: Genesis

So far, I have got the track plan laid out onto the baseboard. The baseboard itself is from Wilkinson's, and is nothing more than a noticeboard made of chipboard. Track is a mixture of Peco and Farish, used here because it's easier to obtain over the counter than OO9 set track, which is available.

Planning for a small loop with a station and a few scenes within the layout. More to come in the next update.

Any questions at all?

I shall be building two for this tutorial, one from Brass and the other from White Metal. Classes are a secret until I show them ;)

Well, I think I see one in that picture. Looks like a Ruston and Hornsby diesel, but I could be mistaken.

I also see a coach. By the way, if you are doing a layout tutorial, do you have another layout to run your many projects on?
