Dummy engines

Has anyone made a dummy out of one of the new f-3 b units? I want to save the original chassis so does anyone know what trucks to use? I also want to put a sound decoder in the b unit.

Hi rustycoupler,

I am not aware of a Bachmann F3 but my procedure would be the same for any loco from any manufacturer.

Remove the motor, drive shafts, universals, etc.
Remove the worms.
Remove the reduction gear from each truck.
It's that easy.

Why the need for new trucks?
Check Bachmann parts for replacements.
