Loco 4-6-0 in set BAC90059

Hi Guys

I received 2 days ago the set BAC90059 but found some parts broken.
The package was fine, so It is unknown how this happened.
In the locomotive, the front under buggies (4 wheel set), where the plastic sleeve holds each two together-one plastic sleeve is broken.
Another part (i think it is a piston) was also of, but it seems repairable.
The big problem is I can't drive the train like that.
Meanwhile, I placed a similar plastic adapter between 2 wheel,so the train moves
more or less normal.
Also I have a problem with the tender's sound and light.
Placed a new 9V battery, connected the 2 wire harnesses(sound and light) in place, opened red switch.Nothing i do helps.
Please give me some advise.

David you have several options:

1. take the set back to the store you bought it from and exchange it.

2. Call Bachmann Service dept at 215-533-1600.  They can send ypu replacement parts if you feel you are cabable of fixing it yourself, or you can send the loco to them for repair.  Call and discuss the situation and they will help you.   

If the battery is put in correctly, look under the tender and you will see a switch underneath.   Turn it to full.   Yoiu will hear a little click when you turn if off or on.  The sound only works when the loco is moving and then it is only a chuf chuff sound.
