Bachmann turntable frustration

Hello, I have a new HO scale Bachmann turntable, which I want to operate in DC mode.  I set it up following the directions and it does not work.  I tried changing the way the connections were hooked up and even purchased a new power supply.  However, it still does not work.  Anyone have any thoughts?

What is not working the bridge or the track. The bridge operates through the separate power supply from the connector under the shed and the track receives power through the 4th track from the shed, if looking at the back of the shed opposite the bridge the powered track is 4th to the left. To the right if you were standing on the bridge.

The bridge is what is not working.  I have a seperate power supply and the prong under the shed is where i made connection.  Reversed the way I connected into the prong, but nothing.
