Are the N scale thomas locomotives die cast metal or plastic?

The bodies of the locomotives are plastic, but there is a lot of die-cast metal inside.
Hoping for Edward in N Scale!

Is it easy to remove the faces of the N scale Thomas locos? Also, how come the Clarabel coaches just lack the guard compartment?

Clarabel often lacks her guards compartments in multiple toy ranges, Bachmann included, as it's cheaper for the manufacturer to use the same tooling for both characters. Tomix is one of the few ranges to display her guards compartment correctly.

It should be, the faces are separate fitted parts with a shallow glued connection to the smokebox... They should easily be pried off with a knife or similar tool.
N Scale modeler. Primarily interested in UK and US outline stock, as well as the "Thomas" line.
Hoping for Edward and Mavis...

It is pretty easy. I've been able to do it for Thomas and Percy at different times. I usually just take the bodyshell off and push the face off from the back with a thin paintbrush handle.

Duncan and the Gunpowder Wagons are up for preorder on Trainworld, but the N Scale Express Coaches still aren't. It may not be until 2025 before we actually hear of progress updates on those models. Hope we hear something on N Scale Diesel and Paxton by the end of this year.

The upcoming Trainworld stream has to show N Scale Gordon in the package, since he's going to arrive in stock within a month or two. N Scale Emily was said to be available this November if all goes well. She might also get shown in the package.
My wishlist for HO Scale: Stepney, BoCo, Fernando, Norman, Den, Dart, Porter, Samson, Timothy, Whiff, Hiro, Winston, and Green Salty.
My wishlist for N Scale: Edward, Spencer, Flying Scotsman, Duck, Oliver, Mavis, Sidney, 'Arry and Bert.

I hope we can get an update on the N scale Henrietta soon.

At last, the N Scale Express Coaches are up for preorder! I just noticed that on Trainworld. I had to preorder two composite coaches, and one brake coach, so Gordon can have at least three coaches for his express.

I'm hoping we get an update on N Scale Diesel and Paxton by the end of the year, and we see progress on N Scale Henry in early 2025. The next Trainworld stream is most likely this Tuesday. We'll soon find out what will be shown. It could be Sir Handel's unpainted sample, an unpainted sample of the Narrow Gauge Gondola, fully painted samples of the Narrow Gauge High-Side Wagons, or a fully painted sample of Sir Topham Hatt's Car. We may also see the sample of N Scale Hannah, N Scale Gordon packaged, or even N Scale Emily packaged.

Cool! I just hope that they do the red express coaches for N scale!

Silly question. I know Rebecca was just added to the online store, but I'm unsure if the other additions are new or have been here for a bit. Those being the 12 ton vans, N scale Henrietta, DCC Thomas and Percy, and the large scale Thomas set. If anyone knows that'd be appreciated. Expecting these guys plus most likely N scale Gordon to be a big Q4 shipment since we've only gotten 3 products released this year so far but trying to gauge if some of these things are recent additions or have been sitting for a bit because that may help gauge things more accurately.
Hoping for bachmann Bradford, Charlie, Norman, Hiro, Nia, and Harvey

Rebecca, 12 Ton Vans, and N Henrietta have been up for roughly a month and a half. Not sure about the other ones though.

Noted. I know images for them surfaced in July but not the actual listings and saw some people say Rebecca's actual listing was new today but maybe they just meant something changed with it. The 3 engines I mentioned all have the september placeholder date on trainworld but I doubt that is any indicator because so does Salty. Being cautiously optimistic all of the items on Bachmann store and Gordon can get out by the end of the year.

I just saw that HO Scale Rebecca, DCC Sound-Fitted Thomas and Percy, N Scale Henrietta and the Large Scale Thomas set are listed on the online store. However, they are not in stock yet.

So this Thomas Tuesday stream will be the big unpainted reveal of Sir Handel, that we've waited like two years for. This time, he is ready for primetime. Won't be until next year when we hear something about Duncan. Now that Sir Handel is in the unpainted stage, they have to have started on Duncan.
