General Discussion / Styrofoam cutter

Being new here I do not know if this has been discused before.  But I needed to cut styrofoam and hate the mess that it makes.  Being cheap and not wanting to buy an electric one that melts it's way through I decided to try to make one.  I used an old weller soldering gun and replaced the tip with a piece of number 12 bare copper wire and it worked quite well.  I also tried to make a bigger hoop with number 14 wire.  Both worked just fine but you are limited to the size of the hoop as one to big will not heat enough to burn the styrofaom.

Hope everyone is having the best day that they can.

Thanks guys

Looks like I may be taking the paint I have and get it tinted.  I am really new to this and have no idea what I am doing. I did master the art of plastering.  ;D

Thanks guys for the answers.  I guess I should have not asked such a general question.  What I really need to know is can I tint the flat white latex paint with tube acrylics.  Also if I can do you know what color to mix to just get a plane brown for dirt as I am in the Western New York area and we have pretty plane looking dirt here.  :)
Thanks again

I am real new to this and wondered if anyone could tell me if a "release compond" is needed when trying to make a mold over raw plaster or any other materials. Thanks - heath54 ???
