I actually bought a simple tressell bridge and removed the track that was in the center.  I took a 4 1/2 inch piece of E-Z track, painted it brown and glued it in place.  It doesn't fit exactly, but you can't tell unless you know it has been modified.  Hope that helps.

I want to use something to tack the E-Z track to foam board.  I am looking for something that will allow me to pull it up later if needed?  Not sure I am making sense, but any input would be great.

Seems useless to daisy chain them as it seems to just burn up DC locomotives.  I have the F-7 from the explorer set and an Atlas DC locomotive that I wouldn't dare leave on the track unless they are running because I can only imagine after a short period of time they would burn up.  Has anyone else tried this.

No, it isn't DCC compatible.  You can plug it into the DCC E-Z commander controller and use it to control a DC loco with your DCC loco's.  I don't advise that approach, I tried it and the DC locomotives don't like it.  The engines whine and it sounds like they are about to burn up.  I will admit that I love my DCC E-Z commander controller and I have had no issues with E-Z track, other than operator error.  I can be like an elephant in a glass factory, so I take responsibility for breaking some E-Z track lol.

I think it is great that you are doing this.  Doubtful, you will get it done in five days, but what a great time you will have with your Grand Pa.  Good luck and don't worry about completion, just enjoy the experience, you will remember it forever.

Do they make insulated rail joiners for N scale EZ track?  I am not skilled enough in the electrical part of model rail roading to start cutting track.

Your assumptions are all correct.  I would post my layout plans, but I don't have anything to post yet.  I won't even be getting to deep into this until we move into our new house in December.  I have just been reading and coming here for answers.  For your info:

Two main line ovals connected with a crosover
A turnout off the outer loop for a place to start and store trains
A turn out off the inner loop into the center to a train yard

Those are the basics, I have used all rails (free version) and can't finish the plan.  I wish I knew another program that allowed for the use of ez track.

I power provide directly from the ez commander to the DCC turnouts and switches or do you use a different power source?  Thx for your help.

I intend to use dcc.  I would like to run two train in continuous loop and be able to switch them back and forth and into a train yard on the inside of the inner loop.  Thx for the info, I will be buying some of those terminal joiners.

Since I have the Explorer train set already I did in fact intend to use the analog power pack with the ez command.  Will the ez command power pack power the DCC turnouts?  Then use the analog pack for lights?

I want to use the ez command power pack for train operations.  My question is how do you provide power to the accesories, such as building lighting, switches and the plethera of other things that required power.  Also, do you power the feeders using your primary power pack.  My intention is to use switches that are DCC compliant.  I am ordering some books to help, but for some reason these areas are weighing heavily on my mind.  Thx again for being patient with me.  Please suggest the best books foe ez track layouts and wiring.
