The g scale cars I recieved each came witha set of replacement Knuckle couplers and a set of coupler adapter blocks to lower the height to the bighauler coupler height.

Mickey,
The only downside I see is the buffers and the four wheel trucks. I suspect the buffers can be removes and many mine cars did have four wheel trucks.
The bottom line is that it is your railroad and you should do what feels right or looks right to you. The main thing is to have fun and enjoy your trains.
The 985XX wood ore cares would look good as well, even the 957xx series 20 foot gondolas, It would be easy to make your own coal loads for them.
Again have fun!!!
Quote from: on30gn15 on June 05, 2011, 05:07:32 PMor, maybe even a BIG diesel like a GP or SD something.Quote from: yeorail on June 04, 2011, 01:06:09 PMSomething like a G version of the HO Plymouth 6-wheeler?
A well detailed Spectrum small diesel would be nice too
Which although labeled an MDT is actually a WDT - MDT were 4 wheel. See: http://www.northeast.railfan.net/diesel141.html

Quote from: jonathan on September 25, 2010, 07:55:02 PMi made sure of that befor i put it back together
Hint: the headlight current is supplied by the pony truck ONLY! Perhaps when you disassembled/re-assembled, you put the truck or wheels in backwards. Worth a try...

Congrats, RBMN!
Glad it was a simple fix.
