I've been one a couple european sites where they have an option to view the price in dollars, but it seems to have the conversion rate of about a year ago. Will a conversion be made by the banks, or is there a set dollar amount that the sites list? Also, I was considering ordering from an ebay international dealer. Does anyone have any experiences with these?

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct area to post this in, but I want to model some of the Great Western Railway. However, I have found it very hard to get a hold of Bachmann's 0-6-0 Pannier Tank in the US without paying through the nose on shipping from ebay or the one other us retailer that sells British stock in the US. I was wondering if there was any way to either order the item directly from Bachmann themselves or if there are any sites that are re-sellers in the US.

Hi all, I'm a noob at model railroading and just purchased my first nice steam loco, the Bachmann Spectrum K4. While trying to attach the tender, I seem to not be able to get the forked part going from the engine into the tender. I can get one arm, but not the other. Please help.

Yes I'm running them and pretty slow speeds. The only other things is that even at faster speeds they kind of stop for a second and then keep moving.

The turnouts are definitely bachmann EZ track. I'm thinking it could maybe be some connectivity issues with the wheel except its happening on all of them. Like I said, its only when the right wheel hits the plastic part on the turnouts.

Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone was having similar experiences with the bachmann ez track turnouts. My 0-6-0's (Mavis and Thomas) are dying while going over the straight part of bachmann turnouts. With Mavis it seems that if her right, front wheel hits the plastic part of the turnout, she dies. If I run her the opposite way so that the left front wheel goes over the plastic, nothing happens and she runs fine. I was wondering how I could fix the problem/ if anyone else has had this problem. Also the 0-4-0's seem to have the same thing happen to them.

Hey all, I just opened up a brand new Toby and he's running slow and i'm getting a bit of smoke. I figure this might be the motor overheating. I've read a lot of threads about this problem, and it seems that I should just be able to drop some WD-40 or something of the sort. My question is where exactly do I put it in the motor? Thanks!

Oh, btw, I just have to comment on how durable the bachmann models are. James, Edward, Thomas, Percy, Gordon, and Henry along with various rolling stock took a nice 5 foot fall. Some faces fell off but otherwise, everything was great and nothing was damaged 

I'll probably add scenery around the extra space, which is good. I also am glad i do have a little extra space to work with, and, like I said, I could probably get kind of creative with the scenery. Thanks for all the the help!

So you're saying that the 5x10 should be fine for 22 radius? Also I decided just to get the #5 right turnout since I already had one to save some money. I also bought the adapter pack thing, so I think I'll be set. I can't wait to build this thing but it will probably be a while as we're still in the process of cleaning the basement.

My layout is going to be a 5'x10', but i may do the outer loop in 18 with some straight track thrown in. That said, i just discovered the connector set that has 1/4" track and stuff, so i'm probably going to get the #5 right turnout and use it with the one i already have to create a crossover. If i do need to add width, I'll probably just add the wood blocks like you said, as I already have the plywood sheet. I just wanted to keep the 42 inches on the inner loop, so i'll do some math and get the connector set to make up for the weird lengths of the inner loop. Besides it will save me money in the long run so I don't have to buy the big piece. Unfortunately I like the look of the big piece, but oh well. Thanks for all the help!

Hi there, I'm thinking about getting a crossover to go to an outer loop. The only problem is I am having a hard time finding the length of the actual piece. The sites keep giving me different answers, but hobbylinc says 21 - 1/4" I just wanted to ask if this is the correct measurement. The reason I'm asking is that it is going to go on one side of my layout that is 42", and I don't know how to break down the track to keep it that length. If I alter the length on that, the rest of the layout will have to be altered, and I'm trying to keep it as least expensive as possible

also, I have the #5 Switch, and was thinking about getting a second one instead to make the crossover that way. However, once again I do not know what the dimensions would be. Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this.

ok, so I looked under the thing, but either way when i still connect the connector piece to either side of the turnout, it still does not let any other track piece connect next to it. I don't know if I'm just extremely stupid, or if something is actually wrong with my product. thanks for the help so far though!

EDIT: I just saw that you actually have to bed the piece out! The plastic came off no problem!

absolutely! i didn't know that the road bed came off. now i just have to find them as they've been in storage for a while haha. i hope especially that i can find that section of track

So purchased a #5 turnout about 2 years ago, but haven't put it on my layout because for some reason, I can't connect it to normal ez track. I can get one piece on, but the roadbed on the side of the other attached piece prevents it from even getting on. Do I have a defective product, or is it meant for something else that what i've been trying to use it for?

Also I was wondering if you could use 2 of these to create a crossover and if I'll have any problems like those described above. Thanks!
