I am new to the hobby and my head is spinning. On the advice of a local hobby store, I went ahead and bought about 7-8 manual switches for some EZ Track turnouts. After buying all the track I needed for the layout, I started putting it together for some test runs and found that I needed to keep a close eye on a couple of switches and often found myself running to the other side of the 4x8 layout to flip a switch.
I want to add either some powered or manual switches (DCC isn't important) into the layout to avoid the run around for a single switch flip. I don't want to throw away the manual switch EZ Track that I got and was hoping that there was a simple fit to fix them as I need to go. I have heard of the Tortoise Switching machine and Blue Point, as well as a few others. Do these work well with EZ Track? Any recommendations on some remote switches? My local hobby store has me pulling hair out.
Thanks,
