N / CVs for N scale 4.6.0
December 10, 2014, 02:03:46 AM
Is there a listing of CVs for this engine's decoder?  I'd like to fine tune starting voltage, top speed, etc.  I am in awe of this tiny jewel.

Thanks,
Terry

HO / Spectrum 2.8.0 cab removal
December 14, 2013, 03:52:34 AM
Does anyone know how to remove the cab from the boiler on the Spectrum (now not so Spectrum) 2.8.0?  I'd like to do some airbrush work on the roof and the masking chore is a little beyond me at this point.  Thankee much.

Thanks for your replies.  I think we have this one solved, at least for now.  The problem here seems to have been a little different, the alligator crosshead was coming out of the top guide.  I have returned it to the correct position but have not yet adjusted anything.  It runs so well I don't want to make changes unless the problem reappears.

RE: Whistle Stop and the 4.6.0

I was shopping there late last week and looked it over.

If the 'dead' loco is mechanically undamaged (I don't care about the lead truck) I would offer $20 plus postage.  Electronics don't matter either.

HO / HO Spectrum 2.8.0 binding up
November 21, 2013, 05:41:30 PM
My HO Spectrum 2.8.0 runs very well most of the time.  Occasionally, such as on switches, something cocks up or pinches the running gear so that is is frozen.  It may be my imagination but I think this is increasing in frequency over time.  Has anyone else experienced or overcome this?

Thanks
Terry

There is an unlettered Bachmann Spectrum 4.6.0 with Tsunami sound (new) available at Whistle Stop Hobbies in Portland Oregon.  Their phone number is 503 761 1822, their web is wsor.com.

On the subject of 2.6.6.2 information; what is the overall length of the engine and tender and what is the wheelbase of same?
