Yes, I really am looking very hard for the old style Silvine HO scale ( although a friend who models Missouri Pacific ala Free-Mo Style says the Silvine signal bridges and two and three light signals are actually almost S scale) signals.
      Also, my thanks again to Rusty rails for the link to the site that he provided. I have quite a few NJ International style signals on the layout, along with some Kyoto ( Japanese or Korean manufactured? not really sure,) two and three light signals.
      Jward, thanks for the idea about using leds, but I have been using miniature colored light bulb signals for a long time and have far too many miniature bulb style signals to switch to leds, not to mention the expense of rewiring all of the signals and the relays that control them. Hope you both have a pleasant evening operating your layouts.

 I built a folded dogbone that is in reality an off-sided donut with a central operators pit, and with a swing down access hatch which is disguised as a lake. Access to all sides of the layout is no more than a two foot reach, in spite of the layout's size which is 11 feet wide by 19 feet long. also there is the main yard, which a lead track connects from the yard lesd to form the entrance to the main yard. The main yard and engine terminal is 4 feet wide by 23 feet long. The whole layout fits in half of the basement.
   I would have built an around the walls for reachability, but other "mountains of shelves", and incoming water and gas mains were already in the way.

 The Saint Louis and Santa Fe is modeled on a " what if the Santa Fe had built South as well as West from Chicago". I use all Santa Fe prototype, and run from South Yard (which is south of Downtown Saint Louis) to Springfield, Illinois. My apologies to all of the Alton,GM&N, M&O, and GM&O modelers.
     I  use three time periods and rotate the rolling stock to shelves according to the time period (although I know that the extra handling is very hard on some of the cars fine details,) no matter how careful I am.
     Time period number 1: 1950 to 1968
     Time period number 2: 1968 to 1974
     Time period number 3: 1974 to 1995

      I also have several industries where the main yard for loading/ unloading lumber and the small town for doing the same is on the same aisle so that the operator of the small town can unload at the lumber industry, walk to the main yard on the same isle with the load and physically load a different flat car with more lumber destined for the small town lumber yard. Interesting idea, isn't it?
   
   

 

I have been trying to find ho scale lightbulb signals made by ( I was advised by Mr. John Lynch at Bachmann that I could mention both the name and some of the sites I have been trying to purchase these items at) Silvine Models which went out of business in the mid to late 60's. I have tried all of the usual sites E-bay or ebay or however you want to spell it and others. I have tried hobby shops and swap meets to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions on a particular site or hobby shop that I could call or search on line for these signals?
           Thanks in advance for any ideas anyone can come up with.
