Someone posed this question to me and before I call Bachmann I thought I could get a quick answer here.

Call the service department today, they do not have the individual gears, rather they wil supply a complete power truck. The Rep. mentioned that for 20 bucks I could have it replaced with the dcc version. 

Any had this problem and called Bachmann? Did they just send out replacements or require the loco be sent in?

I've got two vintage GP30's that have so much play int the drive coupling that it sounds like a coffee grinder.

I called the Service Department to see if the needed part was available and was told probably not, but send them in so they could have a look and most likely they would be replaced (with what I wonder since they are OOP?).

My question is that I have converted these to DCC, so other than removing the decoder would there be any issue?
