We are looking for a digital copy of this. If we do not have it, we will scan a copy of one.  The parts diagrams are online here.  We will post the manual here as well.

Hello,

This promotion was not for the parts department, that is why it didn't work.

Introducing the new www.bachmanntrains.com

We're excited to announce the launch of our new and improved Bachmann Trains website! We've combined our online shop and main website for a cohesive single-site browsing experience and implemented a modern, mobile-friendly interface in line with our updated brand image.
We will publish more information about specific features in the coming days, as we continue to add to and improve the new site. Any questions on how to navigate and interact with the site in the meantime can be directed to [email protected]

Not being dishonest. Traditionally the catalog was made available for the New York Toy Fair in February and given to distributers and retailers first. There was no show this year, so there was no "Official Release Date" this year.

Bill,

Parts that are not decorated can be made again and restocked, if it is feasible to produce them.  Most parts are produced when the complete product is made ( we just make extras). We also consider making parts when there is enough demand for them. Thanks

Greg,

Thanks for the suggestion, but if the part is inactive, it will result in the same problem.  Our parts inventory changes all of the time so it would be better to point to the category and browse available inventory.

Bill,

We searched some of your posts with parts department links.  One such post had this link to a 4-6-0 chassis.

https://estore.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=69_671_669&products_id=5863

To explain: Each part has a unique products_id, and these were not changed during the upgrade. This product has been changed to inactive and will not show up on the search or direct link anymore. It will show the message that product is not found.  This is because we are completely out of this color version.  It is highly unlikely that this exact color combination will be made again, so the part was marked inactive and the link will show this message unless the part is reactivated.

We think this is the reason, but if you can show an active product link and a post that is not working, we will see what we can do to make those links work again.

Thanks

Quote from: Loco Bill Canelos on February 19, 2024, 10:07:10 AMHi Forum Members,

I love the new parts interface, but there is a "but" you should know about.

As many of you know when I make responses to those needing help I like to put in links to the parts mentioned in as part of the response.

With the implementation of the new interface all of my previous part recommendations links in those posts are no longer valid.  There is no way I have the time to go back and update those responses.

If you are looking at my old posts and run into this issue and feel it is a critical or important that I update one or more just ask in the forum and I will do my best to update that particular post.

Please be aware this is in no way critical of the new interface.  It really needed the upgrade and I already love using it.  I will continue to use links in my posts when appropriate and they will be to the new parts interface.

Thanks for your understanding.

Keep having fun with your trains.

Loco Bill

Bill,

Can you provide a couple of broken links?  In theory this should not have happened.  However we upgraded the software version and this may have had something to do with it.

Thanks,
Bachmann Trains

Quote from: mickeykelley on February 10, 2024, 05:25:19 PMJust to let you know that your new interface in the parts section is absolutely horrible. It is very slow and cumbersome.  You cannot see right off if the item is out of stock.  And you can't easily move between engines. It is just bad design.
The interface is different and will take time to get used to if you are familiar with old one. The side bar took up a lot of screen space.  This format is also mobile device friendly, which the last one wasn't.

Here is how to navigate now:
If you hover over the part, it will only display More info if it is out of stock.  If it is in stock, it will show both more info and Add to cart.

To switch product type, use the cascading menu under SHOP PARTS at top of page.

HO / Re: Overland Limited Set
December 27, 2023, 12:50:55 PM
The Overland has always come with steel alloy (black roadbed) track.  Any reference to Nickel silver was either a mistake by the seller or they upgraded the set to Nickel Silver on their own.

General Discussion / BEWARE OF FAKE WEBSITES
November 27, 2023, 01:55:13 PM
Hello Everyone,

'Tis the season to be careful!

We have been alerted of fake websites that have Bachmann in their URLs. Please be extra careful when shopping online. If the online deal seems too good, it probably is.  We have registered many domain names, but they all go to main website bachmanntrains.com. It is just not possible to register every combination, so please be careful and make sure the website is a valid company.

If you are unsure, you can check to see who has registered the domain name on https://www.whois.com/whois.

Those are old streetcar tracks.  They are not in service at this time although the streetcars are coming back in other areas of Philadelphia, so maybe we will see some action in the future.

Here is a website showing various photos of the streetcars in action. Philadelphia Streetcars
