I have an old "Texas Chugger" and the motor let the smoke out so I was just wondering if someone out there knows if any of the old motors are available. I have been in the hobby for over 50 years and have repaired many locos. I always hard wire many of my old locos with DCC.

Are there any replacement for the old flat motors that Bachmman use to use? I have heard them called pancake motors, most of the time nothing good has been said about them.
