Manual One was an old eztrack book from a while back.
The stock number and book cover are correct.

i bought a left and a right dcc switch and they are awesome. no extra wires and they seem very smooth so far. I like that you can pair them for easy cross overs.

HO / Re: Will this plan work with EZ track?

I would think it would work, your layout looks a lot like the one i found http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/board/index.php/topic,4233.0.html

The layout photo i listed is actually spec'ed with e-z track.

Would only take some a few modifications to attain the layout you created.

Are you running DCC or DC? I have the dcc switches listed in my post and they are great. No extra wiring they just work with the e-z command system.

THB-Dave,

Thanks for the quick reply on the years. I was trying to gauge the years of the trains to see what vehicles would make sense on the layout.

As for the industries, I am trying to get input as to what might fit in the layout and what would make sense to deliver.

HO / E-Z Track Layout Help
January 28, 2008, 01:36:26 PM
Background: I have the bachmann diesel digital commander starter set and I am starting to have an idea of what i would like to see in my layout. I want to be able to run two trains. One with a small freight load and another with a small 3 car passenger load (i.e. mail car, sleeper car, standard passenger). I want the feeling to be of the burnt orange of west with some slight "summer" grass and some decent strata rock formations.

After looking at what I could find online, I like the look of this layout:

source: http://www.caboosehobbies.com/catalog/bach_track.php

I currently have a 4x8 table top built with a foam board top. The only thing I would change for the layout is to extend the width with some extra 9" straights.

I want to use the new DCC turnouts, ex: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJGA0&P=SM
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJGA1&P=SM
Only downside is $30 a pop and my budget isn't the highest.   ;)

I do have one passenger station that i am currently building, hopefully i can make it look this good:

Things I need help with:
1) Coming up with a run "schedule" for this layout
2) Industries to service with this layout
3) What years do these two diesel engines represent?
4) General recommendations  ;D

Dear Bach-man,

Oh come on... i just checked an online retailer that had said that they would have the book late November, which is now and it has updated to January!
I am demoralized at this point. I have been waiting patiently since this spring for the book. I wanted to see the plans before i laid out my first track. I guess I can always just make an oval for my first track.

HO / Re: E-Z System not so

The problem is that there are no AC terminals on the EZ Command System. You need a seperate AC adapter. Best thing to do is to head to radio shack and pick one up or if you can find an old dc throttle, most of them had an ac port on them.

Also, if you have any EZ track layouts that you have created, be sure to link to those as well. Thanks!

I should hope that people will find this useful  ;D I am going to go download it and check it out. Perhaps you can link to the yahoo group so others may find it easily. Thanks for your hard work on this!
