Yeah. It confused me when I wired mine up a year and a bit ago. Im not entirely sure why they ordered the table as they did, other than if someone was having a laugh.

There is no Drop-In. The circuit board of the H16-44 has 7 pins designed to have any 2 function decoder hardwired in to the solder points.

Long answer            It  may be possible to fit an aftermarket Decoder into the B'mann Trolly. I'm not sure what it looks like inside (or outside) but with decoders getting smaller and smaller, it is most likely possible you will be able to convert one simply, or with a little modification to the chassis.

I was successful in using the 2004 coupler to convert the loco.

The Question then is, what is it about the track that makes it auto reversing. What additional wiring would be needed to make standard track into auto reversing track. At the price of $30 for 2 9" straights, plus then shipping to the UK, It seems absolutely stupidly expensive.

Yes, i attempted it, and it didn't go well. I found there was no room in the cab, and little room in the tender. Even when i tried the tender, it didnt work so well as i had problems isolating the motor, and passing wires through to the tender.

That question cant really have a definate answer. It depends on what sort of height you are comfortable with, or what the design calls for.

If i were a betting man I'd say that 47Kilo ohms will not do anything to the decoder, so you shouldnt have to worry.

Wow, they have changed it. I had one a couple of years ago and rendered it useless when i tried to fit a decoder, as it had wires soldered to the frame, which in my wisdom i unsoldered, then couldnt re-attach them.

all i can say, do not remove the original wires from the chassis. Its near impossible to solder them back on properly. You can shorten them, just make sure there is a few mm of wire left attached to the chassis.

I think when i get mine, I'm going to strip the decoder and install a TCS one - they are so much better.
