THe next engines they should make IMO is Duck, Douglas and Donald, and Oliver. I think they should because then Bachman will have all the first numered engines (#'s 1-11)

I like what I see, FPT, looks really nice. Desiel 11 looks like he'd tear any typical steam engine apart, but what about if he met the 4-6-6-4 CHALLENGER? I'd like to see that happen! Also, wasn't there suposed to be a John Deere desiel in this or was that from some other post? I can't remember.

Bach-man, don't announce anything new until the model is done and the release date has been set. Please take this into consideration. Thanks!

Well, Bachman has to anounce something early to stay competitive in the market. For example, when Emily was anounced, the main idea was to get people thinking towards saving their money and using it to buy Emily, thus giving Bachman buissness. At least you didn't pre-order back then. This is what can happen when you do and THEN the product gets delayed:

Agreed, dedication. The heat index doesn't surprize me, though. Why? Mainly because the fact that it's SO hot that half of my school district is cutting classes held in places with no air conditioning, some kids even get tomorow off 'cause all their classes are canceld!

When did u stat school and do u go to Collage ???

No offense, but that's personal info I'd like to keep private for now.

the mounting post for the couplers on the thomas line are lower than the height of regular ho cars.  what you would need to do is convert one of the thomas trucks by mounting a coupler that works with your other cars on one end of the thomas car.   to do this you would have to cut part of the mounting post on one end so that the coupler is at the correct height.  use a sharp knife or saw and a file to smooth the cut post, then screw the standard (or kadee coupler if you use kadee's) in place.

This kind of car did actualy exist, but it wasn't used to link up thomas and friends to normal american cars in real life. It really was used to allow standard gauge engines to move around narrow gauge cars and vice versa.

Just thought you'd like to know :)

The first time I ever saw mavis was the little wooden toy, and the stripes on the toy were (and still are) bright neon green! Of corse, I plan on getting Bachman's mavis 'cause she's one of my fav. chars and I do need a switcher smaller than my F3 or RS-32.

Guilford Guy- Was that SERIOUSLY in a Flying circus episode or did you make it up? I own the complete series, but only seen the first disc. If it is really a skit, please let me know what episode it's in!

She will have one I am sure, after the first 3 models (Thomas Percy and James) Bachmann started having front couplers on all the trains!

Good, all shunting locomotives need front couplers ;D I plan on getting Mavis as my second engine I've ever gotten. She was my favorie wooden toy when I was a kid playing with wooden tracks, so I want to import that fun onto a 1:87 scale :D Her couplers will have to be changed to Knuckle couplers if I plan on making her truly be my first shunter loco.

Its already been mentioned loads of times before, and now its just getting old. Bachmann will never make him, so why not make your own like other people have done.

Its not hard, just logic.

Loco10

How do you know he won't? Unless The Bach-Man says himself Desiel 10 is never going to be on their Thomas model line, it's always a possibility. I personaly think that he'd be a big hit with the kids, seeing as how he can pick stuff up with his menacing claw of DOOM!!! :D

Thomas & Friends / Question about Mavis
April 20, 2007, 04:14:02 PM
Dear Bach-Man,
Will Mavis have a coupler on her front buffer? I ask because she is about Thomas's size judging by the telivision series and Thomas doesn't have a front coupler on your model. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I have to agree but that is a great idea. i hope they make diesel 10 soon cause that would be great for a model movie of the bachmann friends of thomas.

If they do, I beg that Desiel 10 does NOT come with his 'non-scary' face where he's grinning in Calling all Engines. I thought that was scarier than the usual Desiel 10! :o

Will there ever be talking tugs in Thomas and friends?

Not likley. TTTE and friends take place in britain in some time period after WWII I think, while TUGS is over in 'Bigg City Port' in some state in the States, and is durring the 1920's. Although why the BRITISH navy is part of at least two eppisodes is beyond me ???
