Hunt,

Our club runs Digitrax DCC.  I don't have a home layout, maybe in the future.

I put the F2A and F2B on our programming track.  Both CV29's = 6. The guys at the club said there is only a slight difference in speeds and not to worry about it.  So I won't worry about it.

Thanks for your advice!

Our club uses JMRI software. I'll be going there tomorrow and check the CV values.

HO / Speed Matching

I just received my F2A unit back from Bachmann Service.  The entire frame was replaced and runs great. Before sending the F2A in for repair both my F2A and F2B ran at the same speed and both set to the same address.  Now my F2B runs faster then then the F2A.  Can I resit the F2B to match F2A to the same address?

Just wondering! On a DCC system is the locomotive drive motor receiving AC or DC current?

I just received my KA4 Keep-Alive and need some help locating a good DC negitive on the 70 TON Bachmann board.  Also I recall seeing a YouTube of someone cutting off the three suppressors that are soldered to the motor while installing a Keep-Alive.  Do you recommend I remove them?

I give up! I want to reply to someone and include a 118 KB picture. Is this my fault?

HO / Keep Alive DC Negative Point
January 08, 2019, 07:17:02 PM
I ordered a Keep Alive for my 70 Tonner.  Can someone tell me the best connection point to get a good negative DC connection?

I did some poking around but I'm not sure I found the right spot as I was getting around 12.4v.  Our track is 14v DCC. The point I found was only alive when the loco was in the forward direction.

Also I can't figure how to insert a photo into this message.

HO / 70 Ton Switcher Keep Alive Connections
December 31, 2018, 07:39:11 AM
I got an HO 70 Ton Switcher for Christmas. I'm running DCC and want to add a "Keep Alive".  I think I need to connect one lead to the plus side of my lights and other to the black wire from the track.  Can someone please confirm if my connection points are correct?  Please correct me if I'm wrong.
