I like the lift out idea with a feeder,  fed through a chain secured to one side.  then let it hang to one side.

I wonder if adding gluten to plaster would minimize cracking?

the hope is that when the wee ones visit their grandpa at the senior center they will have something to do, and never forget it.

any rail does not support ez track as much as I would like.

i'm thinking of donating my layout to our local senior center in hopes of keeping the history of modeling railroads alive.  any hints on how to make that happen?  plus it will clear up space for me to create another module.

two controllers do work!  I played with toggles and found if I time it right and have direction chosen ahead of time on both controllers, it runs close to seamlessly.  I bought an AR-1 auto reverser, and learned it was only DCC capable.  As I am running a dc layout for now, I am soldering and running feeders and a buss for future DCC operation.

thx for all the tips on maintenance!  I'm in the final part of the track laying process, and want to file or sand any elevation differences near the rail joints, but this could result in losing the top rail shape .  one thought is to solder joints as I tweak them to level if they are off a bit. ez track might be forgiving enough.

is block sanding and polishing ho track, once it is secured in place, a good idea?  I see sun glinting off of well used REAL rails, so it might look good.  I wonder if connectivity would be better?  the clickety clack being silenced would leave ear room for dcc sounds.
