I have a 2 truck Climax that I purchased several years ago. It suffered the same broken gear problems as a lot of them did, and eventually got set in a drawer, and forgotten. I decided to send it in for repair. When the unit came up for repair, I was contacted and informed the cost would be $90.00. I asked why the $45.00 repair or replaced was not honored, but never did get a clear response, other than the parts to fix it were over $100.00. When I received my unit back, there was a warranty paper in with it also stating even if you were not the original owner, i.e. e-bay or a garage sale the price to repair or replace was $45.00. It seems to me the most expensive option would be to replace it with a new one, and if they are willing to do that for $45.00 why was mine $90.00? Everyone was friendly and professional with me, and I agreed to the $90.00, so I'm not looking for a refund, but I was hoping some folks here might help me understand how the whole warranty thing works.
Thanks,
Philip
