As phillyreading stating I had this problem take off one at a time the center pickup there should be a small black piece between the screw and the truck it may look like a washer at first but then you see it has a part that goes down into the truck. One of mine like that broke and I'm guessing from tightening to tight. I believe I got the link to it

hope it works the part is like .50 but the shipping is another story think its now up to like $7 may be wrong.
there is also a flat piece heres alink to that piece also make sure you have both of these on both trucks

Hello jmc8922,

I can see why the bridge rectifier and inductive filter, but why the capacitor if you don't have direction control.
The Crown Edition locos were made over 12 years ago by Williams, and most have QSI circuit boards in them, like my Santa Fe F-7's. Very nice for the time they were made at. The only problem with the older F-7's is that they don't have much power to pull the set of passenger cars that I bought with the F-7's(A-B-A set), the Santa Fe "el Capitan" set of six aluminum cars. So upgraded one of my engines and have the power I need. Also using bridge rectifiers instead of circuit boards to keep the direction the way I want it,  one going forward and one going in reverse.

To find parts for Williams, you may have to use after market parts as Bachmann don't list anything but a very limited number of parts.

I tried to go to TMCC with an older K-Line engine and found the cost was extremely too much for my budget, over $250.00, even though it said TMCC ready in the instructions.

Lee F.
I don't know where you where looking and what all you wanted if you just want Tmcc and maybe rail sounds can get it for about ( I'm talking tmcc and railsounds) $175
Rail sound is like $85 and depending what tmcc type you want it starts at just $80

Have not done it. have seen some that I thought were tastefully done but not for me at this time. At present its not as common for O as it is for HO. A lot feel it cuts value of an O engine still. My self it depends how it looks if I think it does.
those that I have seen with just a little weathering I like the heavy its okay but definitely not for me.

Donald follow this link it will take you to the large scale board where you need to be posting your question as it is the board ( forum) for G scale this is for O gauge

remember these boards are about the same size of your current reverse board so the actual tmcc board may fit in the engine if you take the reverse board out that presently in there. now if you want to add rail sounds also then yes you will need to run a tether and place it and the speaker in the tender.

I have done diesels with no problem but they have more room but i also know of a couple of people who have put tmcc into Lionel's dockside switcher using electric railroad boards but I believe that board isn't made anymore it was the board they made for RMT trains. Also I know of another that put a electric railroad tmcc board in thomas the tank engine but had to run a tether to Annie I believe for the sound board.

About a year ago needed to clear some things out as had no room I offered copies of Kline from 1989 to the end for free just pay postage on another site and had no takers I also had some of the other companies to go with them wish you would of asked back then. I ended up taking them to the VA where I work and putting them out for grab as they have a place to drop off mags and books and people pick them up I do that with other train mags from time to time

Williams by Bachmann / Re: Williams warranty support
September 04, 2011, 06:43:58 PM
It seems hard to understand but the bottom line actually is as you said its better to deal with the dealer as you have to understand if you call Bachmann over the phone they have no way to know if you honestly got it that way, If you had the engine actually less than a year, where it would be under warranty for free or over where if you returned it you would have to send them like $35 I think it might be $25 to service the engine. Also if they would give out $1 traction tires plus shipping and cost of material and labor to pack it to everyone it could cost them a fortune so they have to do it this way as they don't know if its there fault ( well china's) or not and I'm sure they have had some try to get parts for free for older engines.

So your suggestion of going back or at least dealing with the seller directly is better for you and everyone.

I thought they had screws on the underside under the trucks as you can move the trucks from side to side to get to them maybe wrong thou as don't presently have any Williams passenger cars
