Why not more small locomotives?
The new loco's coming out since the 2-8-0 are beautiful and super in detail and operating like a charm. For the modelers like me with limited space  it would be great to have more engines like the porter. There is a gamut of small locomotive prototypes out there. My favorite would be another but smaller Forney type like WWF 9. Same configuration ran also in th bayous in Louisiana and elese where. But I think even a "forgein" type loki like the ones from Krauss, Germany would be nice to have for a mining type layout.
(Boothbay Museum in Maine has some German 2 ft locos)
For ever hoping for a small Forney!!!!

Hi,

I vote for more Maine stuff, I would like to see a SMALLER Forney.
LOVE the Bachman Forney, but they where large engines and compared to say the Monson engines or SRRL #10 or KC loco's.
I would buy 2 or 3 at least.
Also worth mentioning is the kit for #19 SRRL coming from Victor's in England.
for everything On30 and Maine

The German supplier Sommerfeld has O scale Phanto's in its program.
Dealer in US is Miami Trains, I believe. The O scale # is 902, or 903
Cheers,
Daniel ::)

Hurray for a small Forney. I am in the middle of trying to build a 'phoney Forney' by using the Bachman Porter and changing the motor adding an apron at the back and a new curly cew cab, different domes etc.
Would be nice to have SRRL rolling stock so count me in.
How about it Mr. Bachman?

I am hooked on Maine 2 footers and I also like Mt. Gretna, the B&B the grand daddy of all 2 footers in the East.
As a Canuck ( I am from Canada) I also know there was a little known line planned in Nova Scotia, so my freelance Darling and Kingsville RR is right at home.
Looking forward to more equipment for my RR especially a smaller Forney, rollingstock lettered for the SRRL and others.
Thanks to Bachman for the "big" Forneys and the Mt. Gretna 4-4-0
Super!!
Happy Railroadin' down East!!! :) :)

Mr. Bachman,

I would like to see more Maine type rolling stock, Combine, Caboose
or exsisting stock lettered for SRRL
Disconect log-bunks like on the FM
Remember the kit undecorated in the Big Hauler line some years ago?
Would be great to have for kit bashing, and save on assembly costs?
Thanks 8) 8) 8) 8)

Yes, #10 is a great little tea kettle. Anybody that has seen her running on the WWF museum or on the new DVD, knows what I mean.
The boiler is small and the cab overhangs something fierce over the track.
She has all the charm of a fat Lady sitting on a Barstool.

On30 / small Forney for ON30
January 30, 2008, 12:38:30 PM
Hi All,
I am still on about Bachman producing a smaller Forney, love the two I have, but they where the biggest ones made.
I have heard on the Grapevine that Bob Hayden of Hon30 fame(and On30) is working with Bachman on such a project and also is working on a combine, caboose and other stuff for them, so more Maine narrow gauge coming? (sorry, if I spilled the beans!!!) :o :o :o :o ::)

Hi,

I would like to see a smaller Forney like WWF #9 or even the tiny #10 running in the WWF museum at the moment. With limited space and tight radius curves, these engines would be very welcome

Hi,
I found the fixture at Fast track http://www.handlaidtrack.com/index.php
gives excellent results and the on line instructions are excellent.
They use PC ties and I highly recommend them.
(NO i do not get a discount for recommending them) but their products speak for them selves.
