Hello! I was just wondering what type of track is the best for HO model railroading? I was thinking about using Atlas track instead of Bachmann EZ track for a short time, but now I'm not so sure.

What scale are you looking for? H.O. or O gauge.
You may have to buy a pacific engine that meets your needs and re-stencil it for the Reading & Northern or Blue Mountain & Reading. That engine is not currently produced by any major company that I know of.
Reading Company and Reading Lines is very difficult to find items for, however MTH(Mike's Train House) makes some Reading Lines items in O gauge. In O gauge; Lionel made a couple of cabooses for Reading Lines, Williams makes an N5c caboose for Reading Lines.
Or try Reading Company Technical and Historical Society for more info to see if anybody makes a model that you might want.

rereading the original post, the locomotive in question is a 2-8-4 i believe. 18"r curves may not be the best choice here. 22"r or 24"r would work much better.
since most of the layout plans posted so far are 18"r layouts, they will need to be reworked for at least 22"r
the good news is that shouldn't be too difficult with the layout design programs out there.
there are a couple layouts in the atlas layout books that use 22"r exclusively (HO29) or provide a path around the layout with 22"r minimum (HO36)
