Thank you Yardmaster! I did try taking off one loco at a time and restarting with no better results. I will try your suggestion tomorrow as to taking them all off and trying a restart one at a time; please note my "layout" runs above my living room so it's get out the ladder and up and down! Also, the ProBox instructions specifically state to plug TRACK power (I'm using the green plug hard wired) into back of ProBox which I have done, and SERVICE TRACK into Dynamis Command Center which I have NOT done. I do not have a service track up there, I change CV,s, etc on a separate system on my workbench. Is there a possibility that without some sort of connection to back of BaseStation it shuts down signal? I will also try plugging the TRACK power into base station; just don't want to "fry" anything!!!!!

dalershearer-AMEN! As to too much invested now --- I also posted the problem on the HO scale discussion board and have gotten quite a few views but no replies! Can't beleive it's just you and me in the world of Bachmann with this issue and no one has an answer!!!! And I would like to think that the folks at Bachmann would advise

HO / Loss of Dynamis signal
September 06, 2012, 05:22:42 PM
Just got Dynamis ProBox with two extra receivers. System worked fine before. Now when I turn on Command
Station (with ProBox & receiver extension) then handheld, get great signal (all bars) as soon as I press "stop" button all sounds & lights on trains fire off but signal goes TOTALLY away that I can't run any trains, send commands (horns, bells, lites, etc.). Posted this on general discussion board and had suggestions as to low ac house voltage, bad engine reacting with Dynamis -- tried them all and, yes, battries in hand held brand new and
went back to old system w/o ProBox and same issue that worked ok b4. Dynamis, probox, two 5 amp power boosters (all Bachmann). For further info, I and another contributor have questions and issues under General Discussion titled ProBox with 5 amp booster. I might add, it does seem everytime I fire up the system (ProBox) it goes into auto synchronizing mode as described in IM; I make sure it does it's thing before starting, still have my locos on handheld as I do "cancel" to sync ProBox to my 1 handheld and as above, no change when I disconnect ProBox and go back to original Dynamis system. ANYONE??? MR. BACHMANN??

Kevin - Thanks for the suggestion but no luck. Took engines off one at a time, still lose signal when
I hit "stop" button; full signal, all bars till then. Hey - Daleshearer have you had any luck with your signal? Anyone else had an idea? Mr. Bachmann?? Worked fine before hooked up ProBox. Took everything apart and no signal with original Dynamis configuration either.

Thanks for the tip; I'm getting 120.5 volts on the power strip (digital voltmeter). Any other suggestions? Great signal till I press "stop" button to energize Dynamis. Everthing fires up but NO signal to operate trains.

Batteries fine also - brand new and no indication on handheld remote of low battery power

Hi everyone!! Got my ProBox, two extra receivers all hooked up, doubled checked twice, HAD a great signal on handset,  fired it up through two Bachmann 5 amp boosters, everything lit up, lights on 20 passenger cars, sounds on engines started -- YES!! BUT SIGNAL ON HANDSET WENT TOTALLY AWAY WHEN I HIT "STOP" button to fire off the system!!!All the sounds started, obviously power to track as lights and sound all there, but with no signal showing, engines won't respond to any commands, but they sound great!!! As I have said in a previous message, don't care about service/program track, but don't know why the signal TOTALLY shuts down on my handset when I hit stop button to fire the system up? Then, of course, it shuts down after the 30 second timeout!
Unplugged two extra receivers, checked both on base id 0, etc, etc. HELP!!!!!!

Hello all! Just got my ProBox, extra receiver, etc. as I needed extended range. Been running the Dynamis with TWO 5 amp boosters with no problem but heard the ProBox and extra receivers would help range and coverage as my layout runs 7' above and around my living room! Do I understand that the issue with ProBox & 5amp boosters is strictly programming??? Do that at my workbench when necessary, never on layout, so not concerned with programming. Want to know though before I open up, hook up, fry locos(?) have 9 powered locos and 20 lighted passenger cars up there, thus the two 5 amp boosters!

HO / Dynamis 36509 Receiver
August 20, 2012, 02:30:33 PM
Will the 36509 receiver work/receive ok if mounted upside down? Since it's infrared, I assume orientaion is not critical. Have a unique situation and upside down on the wall would be much more convienient! THANKS

HO / Dynamis range
October 13, 2011, 05:49:26 PM
Fired up my ceiling layout after cleaning all track, etc and, as has occurred in past, have to be within a couple
feet of Dynamis receiver to maintain signal. Otherwise shuts down and can't even reset with "stop" button which has signaled a loss. Batteries in xmtr new and strong, receiver about 3 feet off floor, handheld 4 to 6 feet off
floor, especially when I'm on ladder checking progress! Always in line with receiver. Any suggestions or pack it
up and send to Bachmann for check out so I can get back for holiday visitors!! THANKS

General Discussion / Dynamis not communicating
October 26, 2010, 03:21:40 PM
Recently found that when I activate system (receiver on, transmitter then on, press "stop" button) the two do not communicdate and the system will not start up. Batteries fresh (and no low battery icon), close to receiver (3 feet) ID's matched at 0;
anyone out there in Bachland run into this/have suggestions? When I do get it running it often will not restart if I have to press the stop button. HELP!! and THANKS! PS-also show no signal strength on transmitter when this occurs.

HO / Dynamis range
October 23, 2008, 03:33:03 PM
Has anyone had any experience as to the range of the Dynamis IR system? I seem to be able to get not much more than 6 to 8 feet away before it loses signal. I've tried the receiver/command center from 3ft to 5ft high, tilted it and the line of sight is not more than 30degrees offset from controller to receiver. Low battery indicator not on, but I tested them anyway and are OK. THANKS!!

HO / More power (amps) for Dynamis
October 10, 2008, 04:47:13 PM
Have Dynamis running with 5 amp booster but overload trips regularily and often won't reset until a several hour "cool down". Running ABBA F7's, double headed steamers,
SD45/GP38 consist, (all with sound) 18 lighted passenger cars and about 10 GOW bulbs. Any suggestions without going to power districts? It would be extremely labor intensive
as I have a main bus with feeds every 4 feet to two tracks which run about 7 ft off the floor
around the walls of my living room. THANKS ANYONE!!
