Your locomotive is equipped with a dual mode decoder so it is not necessary to remove the decoder for analog DC operation. It will run on DC or DCC without any modifications. It runs better on DCC but will run perfectly fine on DC. Hopefully this is helpful. If you are set on removing the DOC decoder, then please let me know and I will provide instructions.

If you are referring to it having connections on the inside and outside of the curve, both sets go to both rails. It's that way simply so that you can connect to whichever side is convenient.
