If you are talking about the SD70ACe's, they are not the same as the Alaska RR units, which are SD70MAC's and have several visual differences.

Alaska RR has a few dome coaches similar to the McKinley Explorer/Denali Princess cars, with the exception that they have open platforms on one end similar to the lower level ones on the current cars, even painting the currently-tooled cars in ARR colors would be better than nothing.

Also, the Royal Gorge "William Jackson Palmer Coach" model is similar to the coaches as well as the one counter-cafe and diner built by Enprotech Corporation of New York, a wholly owned subsidiary of C. Itoh of America, Inc., a division of C. Itoh of Japan, one of the world's largest trading companies, and Daewoo Heavy Industries of Korea, a major manufacturer of machinery, rail equipment and automobiles in Korea.
The major differences are that the ARR coaches have a vestibule/steps at one end instead of two, and have large A/C housings on the roof at both ends. The counter-cafe has no steps/vestibule, but a side door with ladder step, probably for crew access when loading supplies; the diner has what appears to be a standard vestibule & steps at one end, and the roof details may be a little different. And of course, all three car types have noticeably different window arrangements from the Royal Gorge coach tooling.

If you are willing to tool up a coach specifically for just the Royal Gorge tourist train, I hope you would be willing to consider doing similar tooling for the ARR cars, they would be popular for those modeling 'regular' Alaska RR trains as well as the Denali Star trains with the Denali Princess and McKinley Explorer cars.

Hello, I am new to the forum, I am mainly looking for any information on where I might locate some boxes and the plastic trays for the 89' Colorado Rail Car dome cars. I have some of the individual McKinley Explorer and Denali Princess dome cars, and need to find 6 boxes with trays for them, labels on the boxes don't matter because I would make new ones, any help is appreciated.
