Dave Kloke of Kloke Locomotive Works is raising funds to build a full scale replica of the Lincoln Funeral Car in the hopes to be completed in 2014, with hopes to re-enact the funeral train route in 2015. For further information, check the website at www.leviathan63.com.

I have recently heard that someone is building a full scale replica of the Lincoln Funeral Train with plans to retrace the orignal route in 2015 in commeration of the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's death. Is this true?

Lionel trains have announced they will have a Lincoln Funeral Train set. Part of their "Heritage Series", the set features in 1:48 scale (standard O) the 44-0 "Nashville" locomotive, and the "United States" funeral car. Priced at 799.99.

Precision Scale will have a HO scale Lincoln Funeral Train set in a limited edition of 75. It will feature the "Nashville" locomotive, the Funeral car, and the officers car.

The PSC Lincoln Funeral Train Set went for $2,550. Of course, only 35 sets were made and go as high as $4,000.

Right now on eBay there is a limited edition PSC Lincoln Funeral Train set at the starting bid of $2,000.

Last February 8, A Granite monument was erected at the Amtrak station in Springfield, Illinois marking the site where the Lincoln Funeral Train arrived in May 1865.

Another AHM Pocher Lincoln Funeral Train Car was sold on eBay today at $235.75.

Ozark Mountain Railcar is reportedly selling Lincoln's Funeral Car for $6,000 even though on their website they say there is no way to prove it.

There is currently on eBay a Precision Scale Crown Lincoln Funeral Train O scale set at the starting bid at $2,700. The set consits of the 4-4-0 "Nashville locomotive, the funeral car, and the officer's car. Also includes a copy of the book "The Lincoln Funeral Train by Scott Trostel.

One AHM Ho scale Lincoln Funeral Car was sold on eBay today at 245.05.

Mr. Wesolowski's article and plans was published in the February 1995 issue of Model Railroader. He has also written an 36-page booklet which is entitled "The Lincoln Train is Coming" which also describes the making of the model. Mr Wesolowski has in fact made three models of the funeral train. Two of the models are on on display at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Museum of Funeral Customs, both located in Springfield, Illinois.
