Is this an 80 watt A C transformer that comes in the train sets, or DC power Pack?
#2
What kind of transformer are you using?

I do not have a Peter Witt trolley.
My question for you is are there any wires still connected to the trucks?

Installed the new speaker and board.  Engine runs great and the horn sounds great.  Thanks Williams by Bachmann for backing up your products.

I did get my new speaker today.  Also got a new sound board along with it. This is the kind of customer service I have been used to from Bachmann.  Now all I have to do is install them.

Chessie,

I did get an e-mail from the service manager today.
Hope this takes care of my speaker problem.

Williams by Bachmann / Union Pacific FP-45 Problem
January 24, 2016, 12:10:02 AM
Received a new Williams Union Pacific FP-45 for Christmas.  Runs great out of the box but the horn does not work.  Opened it up and the speaker was in 2 pieces.  Called customer service about the speaker.  Was told to e-mail them a proof of purchase and they would send me a new speaker.

It has been a month and I have not heard from them, and have not received a new speaker.

What's up with this.  This is not the kind of service I have received from Bachmann in the past.

Jack,
Sorry I did not reply sooner.  My garden railroad has been under construction since 2004, and is still a work in progress.

To date there is a little under 1000' of track.  I run only Bachmann engines and have at least 2 of all of the geared engines, along with a connie and several 4-6-0's.  All of my rolling stock is Bachmann.

My railroad is a narrow gauge logging and mining, and general freight short line set in the late 40's to early 50"s.

I would be happy to talk to Bachmann.

I have doublehead all of these engines in different combinations with no problems.  The Heisler may run just a bit faster than the Shay and the Climax.

I have had no problems with the Bachman service department.  I take my engines to them and some times they are fixed while I wait.  About 3 months ago I took one of my Climaxs in and Irv put 2 new motor trucks on it while I waited.  Took it home with me good as new.  I have never had a repair take more than three days.

Granted it is only about a 45 miniute drive for me to take them in to them.  In all of my experiences the service department has been great.

I am sure that Irv is not an e-mail person, but he is a people person.  Great to deal with.

Paul,
I thought that you would be by yesterday.  Had a fair turnout inspite of the hot weather.  It is suppose to be hotter today.  Hope to see you.
