N / Turnouts
April 03, 2011, 11:45:17 AM
Good Day one and all.  My question deals with turnouts.  I have been looking for an "understandable" discription of the three types of turnouts.  I have seen the #4, #6, and #8.  They have also been called, Short radius, Medium radius, and Long radius.  All these names leave me lost.  I putting together a layout that will have curves that have a radius of both 17" and one at 15".  I want to run good sized passenger cars (85' ?- thats another question).  What turnouts would work best, or should I say would "look" best.  Additionally, I have been told that c 55 track might cause a problem with some American rolling stock because the depth of the rail is too small.  What is the best to use?  Last question, lenghts of passenger cars.  What works and what does not work (look good).  Thanks for your help....Harlan

N / Track and Turnouts

After reading many posts I am getting the feeling that for the best operation you need to get one set and guage of track.  If you have Peco turnouts you should have Peco track and if it is Kato turnouts it should be Kato track.  Is this the best?  Additionally, I noted that Peco flex track in n Scale Code 80 is not being manufactured anymore.  Therefore I would have to go to all Code 55.  Will that cause any major problems?  Please give me advise!!!

N / EZ Command Dynamis System
March 26, 2011, 11:55:56 AM
::)Hello all.  I have been attempting to find a review of the EZ Command Dynamis sytem.  Anyone out there give me some feedback.  Just getting back into railroading, now at N scale vs HO scale (size the issue), and looking closely at DCC as this seems to be the best way to control your system.  Any help would be appreciated.

???OK everyone.  I have read the discussion on the ability or inability of the Bachmann EZ Command's speed control.  BUT does this all apply to the Dachmann EZ Command Dynamis Wireless DCC Controller also?  Please inform me.  Thanks.
