Rocky - (Sorry Sparks), but out of all the characters in the newer series, Rocky seems to be extremely popular with the kids.  If it has a face on it, Thomas fans go crazy. :P  As much as I PREFER the breakdown train.
My own childhood contradicts this. I remember being more excited for a Wooden Breakdown Train than I was Catherine or even Peter Sam. I don't see Rocky in many YT videos for Wooden Railway or Trackmaster videos (nor is he a popular character to model).

Maybe it's just me not wanting Bachmann to make a character that screams "commercialism" and -generic- kiddie quality..  :P

Quite true. The same for me.

I have a question for ALL of Bahmann Industries. As a modeler of British layouts, would it be possible for Bachmann to start retailing their UK products, Bachmann Branchlines?

General Discussion / The F40PH

You know that awesome loco, the F40PH. I noticed it didn't have a thread for itself, so I made it one. I never actually knew how much people love these engines until I read the article about it on Encyclopedia Dramatica. Here's a vid with just some of it's awesomeness:

Bachmann is very pleased to be expanding such a wonderful product line and introducing Thomas the Tank Engineā„¢ to new aspiring engineers worldwide!

Gordon is about 11 inches long with his tender. I do know that Henry and Gordon share the same kind of  chassie (Henry is just missing the back boggie because he is based on an LMS Black 5, which were 4-6-0s). But I don't have Henry, soooooooo, can't help ya there.

I am getting a kick out of reading this thread.  OK so if instead of a circle . you built a treadmill like device where the train runs on a a spool of flexible track. (Like a moving sidewalk but with tracks or groves that simulate the track.) I would think its technologically possible to build.  So the train runs in place while we all yell JANE stop this crazy thing LOL !

Well, I shouldn't have to worry about all that wiring for a few reasons:

1: The setup will be a temporary layout, set up inside my school's gym. (That probably gives me a better success rate than James May)

2: I'm going to use E-Z Track.

I also don't have to worry about what I'll do with 4 extra DCC Models:

1: My Finace adviser and Friend is taking The LNER A4 Model when were finished

2: I'm taking the GWR Hall Class.

3: We're auctioning off the last Three Locomotives (A Black 5, A Drummand "T9" Greyhound, and a BR Standard 4) to make more money for the school, which I'm kinda P Oed about, seeing how I could really use that money.

Me and a Friend of mine are trying to break the record of the lonest distance covered by model train. The record is 10 miles. Who here thinks I'm crazy to do this.  :P

Say Yes or No before you comment.
