What I would like to see are add on cars of railroads which had "runtrough" cars and/or trains.  In the Seaboards case, cars for the S passenger trains, but sublettered for the PRR would be nice.

In the Lionel TMCC system

1.  AC transformer to PowerMaster to track, controlled my Cab-1

2.  PowerHouse to Powermaster to track, controlled by Cab-1

3.  AC transformer to TPC 3/400, to track.  TPC is controlled by wiring to Command Base.  Cab-1 talks to the Command base, then to the TPC

4.  PowerMaster to TPC 3/400 to track.  See rest of 3.

In th3 lionel Legacy system:

!.  AC transformer to PowerMaster to track.  PowerMaster is controlled by signals to the Command Base, then to the Bridege, to the Powermaster.

2.  PowerHouse to PowerMaster to track.  Powermaster is controlled as 1.

3.  AC transformer to TCP3/400to track.  Controlled by signal from Cab-2 to Command Base, then wire to TPC.

4.  PowerHouse to TPC 3/400 to track.  See the rest of 3 above.

I have run 3 SD90's at one time, running "elephant style", that is, all with the cabs facing forward.  No issues.

That switch from the 90's does have issues.

There are adapotor pins for Lionel to GG.  I have used GG to o-27, but the GG is a taller tack.

Do dress up, but am planning conversion to bs9 led bulbs.

I have heard of issues with the Lionel o72 overall, but this is the first time I have heard of trouble with the 022

Ross is now making an 072 switch with tin/tube track.

Marx used to make O-27 switches with low profile switch machines.

I THINK FT M's are non-derailling.  Check Lionel Cat.

WBB cat does say O-27.  But L switches in tube are not the same as they used to be....
#102
I have heard the FT swithces are oK.  Or the O-31 tubular!
#103
Do you have the baby or scale hudson?  I think the baby takes O31, the scale O42.  If you have FT, thebaby will have no problem.  Scale WILL do FT 36 swithes on the straight path, but not curved.

The Lionel 1033/1044 and Lionel MPC 6-4090 transformers are 90 watters.  But with lighted passenger cars, you even need, as in the TV show HOME IMPROVEMENT, "more power".

Usually, transformers are about a dollar a watt.

And the older tranformers were rated on max, short term output.  the longer they ran, the fewer watts they put out.  The newer ones put out what they  say.  The 1033 family dropped to 70-80 W after a while.  The WBB one then should work FOR THE HUDSON ALONE!

But if you are running the cars on O-27 PROFILE track, but with a larger radii, that should not be a problem.

Marx did have at one time O-34 track in O-27 profile.

K-Line did have O-27 PROFILE track in 42" curves and switches.
