Thomas & Friends / Re: RUSTY ARRIVING AT DEALERS NOW!

Actually, the scaling is too the original Midlander, the proportions are that of the CGI model. Cause unlike the rest of the NG engines, bar Duncan, when they went to measure the TR engines to make their CGI models, Midlander had long since been rebuilt from the form that Rusty was based on, so they just based the CGI model off his Large scale model. As a result, Bachmann tried to do their usual thing of just altering the engines dimensions to match the TR engines in 009, but because Rusty was off, they tried to compromise and scaled him to Midlander buuut kept the CGI proportions resulting in an engine not really usable as Midlander or RWS Rusty, still, the chassis IS accurate to Midlander.
But yeah, that's why people are concerned for when it comes time to make Duncan, cause we either get a model that's close enough to Douglas or the S4 model, or we get a mix between irl, S4, and CGI, that can be worked with, or we get one based on that mess of a CGI model and a decent chassis for 009 use at the least.

Something I've noticed, They really are exactly like their prototypes, right down to the doors only being on one side.

Aye, still not sure if I'll be picking up more immediately after I get the 3 I need, as I need to either wait for the Meridian Models kits of Coach 3 and Brakevan 5 to go back into production or find alternate kits for these 2 to complete the original SR coach rake. Hoping they announce that they'll announce a brakevan based on TR's No.6 "ex-Corris" brakevan, it is the brakevan seen in the show though with added ticket windows on both sides. Kinda hope they do 2 variants, one with the windows and one w/o. Mainly cause the latter will help greatly with modeling Cora ;P

Ordered 4 narrow gauge coaches the other day. Getting three of the red ones for Agnes, Ruth and Lucy customs and one blue coach to be Jemima.
I should note that Lucy's basis is TR Coach 3, which while similar to Coaches 1-2, is QUITE a bit shorter. Like noticeably shorter.

Well the blue ones are based directly on Coach 4 as it is now, so I can see it still selling very well, obviously they'll be given a repaint by most.
Personally plan to repaint my 2 reds once I get them into the standard SR coach stock livery of blue and cream. May have to repaint the blue to match more than likely

Waiting for the call that mine are ready for pick up, though I've had to specify I won't be able too until after Christmas.

Yeah I doubt that, pretty sure Trainworld has $40 minimum for shipping international.

Tbf, I can see it both selling and not selling, cause technically the normal non-beded Bachmann and Hornby are compatible, but on the other hand people may just want matching track for their kids?

Sort of surprised they're not introducing anything NG to start off, given it's been a major market for years already now.

Whoop, and now they're officially available straight from Bachmann on their shop.

WAIT WHAT. Was it in a model railway group?
EDIT: Just saw them
#72
Well we can only hope really.

Well Cranky has a plastic chain so I don't see why can't they do the same to Harvey.
That's not what I said. It doesn't matter what it's made out of, an HO Scale model of Harvey would be too small for a business like Bachmann to make have a functional, raising and lowering hook and chain, either for costs purposes or because of functionality. It would just be attached to the arm and never raise or lower. Also, like Chaz said, his arm doesn't move up or down on the show or on his basis, thus he's be too tall for most people's layouts. To be honest, even though he has a real world basis that looks like that, I still wouldn't be surprised if the NMRA has a standard that blocks any model of that type of locomotive from being made.
Ok but does it matter if they made his arm fictional or not the company is now working also working in the UK so they should have enough budgets to produce new products and another thing how is he that small to make, are you comparing to like his other merchandises or what?
Most of what you said has already been covered, but still, you do know that just cause they're releasing in the UK, they still don't have a massive budget yet right? The UK releases are going to be getting new packaging and are having small details like the lamp irons removed. This is because where as here and most other countries, it's marketed as 8+, in the UK it'll be 3+, meaning they have to conform the age standards set for that age.

Well let's hope it at least gets here before the new year.

Suspecting that may be accurate. And if it is, lord it's annoying
