Well it depends on how you treat them.  My Thomas has survived over eight years and I bought another so he would look new.  James was 8 too.  He became static and his eyes would pop side ton side with a heavy load. Percy is 8 and still running.  So just clean your rails every so often and wheels as well and you'll have a good run out of these engines.

It would, but HiT has rearranged the engine set up.  My guess is the engines who got their place in S8 first are the most likely to show up.

Chaz is right, look at Henry's "drawing" picture.  They are just pictures of the engine.

This might be off topic a little but I have a question for Duckfan. 1. What is the size of Oliver compared to the Bachmann Thomas because I am thinking of buying one. 2.Where did you get him and how much was he?
Thanks
Answer for you and Sparks:
Oliver is in scale with Thomas.  He is also a good $80-90 from where I got him.  (Hornby is expensive)  Only engines I hear are WAY TOO BIG are Bill and Ben.

Well, I like what Bachmann has done so far.  Salty and Edward are what I am looking forward to.  I would like too see some more S7 engines soon.  (Arthur, Murdoch)  But Mr. B has to say so.
