Thomas & Friends / Re: Bachmann Thomas & Friends in 2020

I don't agree with that either. BACHMANN has proven over years that they know WE are their main market. They have done certain things that Mattel has wanted but it's obvious they fight for us. Yes they can't make soley  model era characters anymore,  but you saying that Stepney has no chance with the anniversary on the horizon and  overwhelming fan demand (Duck) is just silly.  It may not happen but the chances are definitely better than they've ever been.

We need to just be vocal about what we want. Because we are the ones who buy.

My dreams would be

HO
Stepney
BoCo
Arthur
Harvey
Murdoch
Fergus

Long shots I know but
Diesel 10
Lady

If they made those few models with the exception of engines like the diesel and Derek, We would have the entire classic cast of characters.

Think about that.  When engines like Emily were coming out we never would've dreamed the range would be where it is today.  We even got a narrow gauge which was considered a dream by so many for so long. Guilford Guys turning in his forum grave.  ::) The OG Hater.

So yes Bachmann cares about us. Keep posting your thoughts boys.

Thomas & Friends / Whatever Happened To The Resin?

Was the range discontinued? Will it be updated in the future?

Is it true the signal box is discontinued?

Also, with Bachmann now being able to sell in Europe.  Consideration of modelers will (or should) be taken much more into account. There's an incredible market for it out there. I mean, the Bluebell railway would love it.

This could be a very lucrative time for Bachmann and for us as old fans.

I don't think I need to tell anyone that I'm definitely team Stepney.

I like Ryan as well.  But Stepney is just more of a character. Plus he's a classic.
I'd love to see him coming down the line with a few red coaches behind him.

Certain characters have such a demand that even if they have not come back and CGI I feel they have a chance.  With the 75th anniversary around the corner  Stepney's have never been higher. Plus we'd get a model face!

Please Bachmann, do us another favor and make Stepney next.

And while you're at it update the resin range and use Duncan's Model design.

But more on that later..... ;)

Our prayers have been answered!!! Thank you so much!

Wow. First time I've been able to take something out of my signature in years.

Only a few left. ;)

As long as they are releasing products. Making new ones has nothing to do with it. They would either have to give it up or have it taken.

Thomas & Friends / Re: OFFICIAL 2018 ANNOUNCEMENTS
February 18, 2018, 11:56:15 AM
Ok.  Let's get something straight, Daisy is NOT in  development.  What people on this for me to realize is that Thomas is basically a side thing for Bachmann.  And in times where prices of manufacturing are rough for them Thomas is always going to suffer.  I get people get excited and want new models but some of the posts on here makes me question peoples sanity.  People truly will believe whatever they want to believe.  Just give it time, a new engine will come the range is definitely not dead  as it still makes them a lot of money.  Though, just not as much as I think a lot of you think it does.

Basically the end point is we have to realize  Thomas isn't the only thing Bachmann has to deal with, and adjust our expectations accordingly.  Big world big adventures may have something to do with this, you never know.

Very true Terence, the season 2 version has very little chance. But I can dream ;)

As for the Narrow Gauge watermill, I personally would love it. But honestly I don't think there's a Resin building that could be made that I wouldn't love.

Bachmann really underestimates the potential profit in this line if you ask me. Maybe they're just harder to manufacture. But I wish there were more of them.

In my opinion the Watermill would be a great addition to the range. Preferably Resin but I'll take anything. Resin would be better and fairly easy IMO simple design bar the wheel itself.

However I would prefer the bridge be connected to the watermil therefore the piece could be incoptated easily.

This is the version I would love. However I know it's a dream. Just attach the bridge and make it extend to the end of the building to the left.
