I don't know if it was the thinner or the small punch, but the bell is of, in one piece, and the steam turbine broke of.
I won't be needing that one anyway.

On30 / dissasembling a locomotive

I am trying to disassemble a 2-6-6-2 for painting.
Screws and the way how to take the large parts apart is no problem but can anyone tell what kind of glue was used?
Es specially on the boiler.
My guess is super glue.
If so, i have a mayor problem getting the parts of in one piece.

You could use two air pumps and move them to the front like the Uintah Mallet #50.
Or a platform like the #51.
Have a look at the Backwoods Miniatures 2-4-4-2 conversion kit.
http://www.backwoodsminiatures.com/
Keep in mind that the chimney comes separately as i found out.

Aren't we forgetting something?
The bumblebee is 3ft narrow gauge and not standard gauge.

I know that the max Voltage for a tsunami is 17V.
You will have to use a resistor when you use a LED.
I don't think you will need one when using a light bulp.

Dutchbuilder;

Thanks for the input. It could be thermal, I'll check CV68 and see what it says. Again it is strange that this would crop up over a long period of time.

Tomfro

Not cv68 but page 68 of the official Soundtrax Tsunami steam user guide.
That is the start page for troubleshooting.

1 Amp is  enough.

The only bumblebee is the 2-8-0 C16 #268 from the D&RGW.
There was a K28 painted in the yellow colours but that was for a commercial.
I believe the #268 was custom painted in the bumblebee colours for 1949 season of Chicago RR Fair

Did you have a look at page 68 , trouble shooting of the Tsunami userguide?
It looks like you have a thermal overload problem.
The flashing lights represent which fault is occurring.

My 2-4-4-2's and 2-6-6-2's have a standard toolbox on the front.
You can tighten the wires inside the tender.

The only difference between H0 and 0n30 is the tye spacing.
The rest is exactly the same.

General Discussion / Re: Don't buy me a train
January 08, 2017, 04:21:02 PM
People in general have no clue what the model rail road hobby entails.
Usually you get the remark; "O, you play with little trains."
The other day someone gave me a stand alone model of a French train in totally the wrong scale......
When you tell them you run American narrow gauge , the light switches off, as we say in Holland.
