I'm not really understanding the argument on how Stepney would be "perfect" for the 75th anniversary. I mean he only had 5 episodes with a major speaking role. Plus he's not even in the show anymore. Unless he's brought back, it's probably highly unlikely that we'll get bachmann Stepney. But like I said, I'd love to be wrong. Now with Ryan, he's very relevant in the show and has appeared in a movie.

So, I noticed that in the 2019 catalog In the Thomas range, the resin signal box isn't there. However it is on the website still... can someone clarify?

Lovely video indeed. I now have a better appreciation for the character! I hope bachmann will make Stepney, but if they don't, there are loads of Hornby Stepney Era 2's on eBay.

Duck is a wonderful model as well. The only problems I have with him are the buffer rims not being red and the whistle being part of the mold. Those are very minor flaws though.

Here's a fun question: What do you all think is the best and worst Thomas Item made by Bachmann? Keep in mind to respect one another's opinion. I'll start. I love the Bachmann Edward. He is the most accurate model in the range. I don't like the lobster car. I think it's a very odd item because it was never in the TV show or any book from what I can recall.

I want to see more resin buildings. Especially Tidmouth Hault. I know it would never happen, but if it did, I would be the first to preorder.

So a response on my other forum got me thinking. I wanted them to rerelease the Gordon Express set, but Apparently Bachmann reps state that they generally decide to stick with Thomas when it comes to starter sets. So what if Bachmann started to make themed engine and rolling stock packs. Like James and the red coaches, Bill And Ben, Oliver, scruffy, and toad, a troublesome trucks pack, Spencer and the special coach, or like I just said Gordon and the express coach. I know Bachmann don't really do this thing in America, and I know it wouldn't really make to much sense as oppose to buying everything separately, but it would still be a fun idea.

Oh and also the Gordon Express set. I feel like they need to make more themed sets because the selection we have right now is pretty bare. Maybe even one themed around James and the branch line coach's or Spenser and the special coach?

Harvey would be an interesting character for bachmann to make.

I would like to see both Stepney and Ryan be produced by bachmann actually. Ryan's a very nice character to come out of the CGI series. Although I find it a bit silly to compare the two. Ones a classic character, and ones a CGI character. I'm sure both will be made at some point.

Honestly I would like to see stepney, but Ryan personally makes more sense to me. I don't think that bachmann would make any characters that aren't relevant in the show anymore. Because once you look at the lineup, all the characters bachmann has released over the years are still relevant in the show. (The only possible exception would be BoCo because they could just use Daisy's chassis). But characters like Stepney, Arther, or Murdoch are nostalgic but a bit more obscure. The statement that "fans want him" isn't a good enough reason in my books. But hey, I'd love to be wrong.

Just decided to join the Bachmann forums. I'll be talking about things that bachmann should re-release. To start off, the tar tanker because it's very iconic from James in A Mess. Salty as he is very relevant in the show and in not even sure why he was discontinued in the first place. The Old version of the mail car as well, because while I don't mind the CGI versions, the ones that have "SODOR MAIL" written on them is more nostalgic to me personally. I feel like these in my opinion are the bare necessities for me. Unlike the water tanker or the lobster car. (Like, seriously who owns those?) Anything that I missed?
