Mum does not want a PayPal account.  Finding out you don't need a credit card though, I might get PayPal when I am older;)L
As ThomasFan says, they are really nice people. I bet if you ordered something over the phone, they would hold it for you until a check cleared.

My mum uses e-mail transfer for me, because my parents don't have credit cards. But yes,  Steve and Elvera are awesome!
You don't need credit cards for PayPal. I have it set up to draw directly from my checking account. It really is very safe and reliable.

Yes, it was model railway imports. Their service is awesome, and they have good prices.  They are my sole supplier at this point!

They are a great shop I use them for all my British OO products.  And their ordering works really well for me - I send him a list of what I want, and he sends an email back with a link to PayPal. Couldn't be easier.

The photos were taken before the model was finished fully, but if the joint seem is still there, i will fix that before i make the test video of him. :)
Can't see it in some of the photos - maybe it's the lighting. Still looks good to me.

Comment and question: First, the model looks great. I wouldn't be too concerned about making the claw move - but that's just me.
Second - The third photo I think I can see the joint seam - but in all the other photos it appears to smooth. Could it be that the third photo was taken before you were finished? Anyway - looks good now!

I have a similar problem. I have pics, but I don't want photobucket.
Just curious - why?

I've been using them for years with no problems.

ertl had little hooks and t&p had magnets
i think the tanker is from tomy track master
Then it was probably Ertl. I don't think Trackmaster has been around that long.

Quite good indeed! Did the tank come from an ERTL milk tanker?
I don't think so.  Isn't Ertl the same as Take-n-Play? With magnetic couplings? This didn't have magnets. It would be about 15 years old. My son had a lot of mixed Thomas toys.

Thanks guys!

I built this car a while ago, but thought I would share it here. Two events brought this about. First, finding one of my son's old toys (a Tidmouth Milk wagon) and realizing it might make a good model, and a friend giving me an old Airfix Esso tank car kit - without the tank (he wanted the tank for another project).
I had to shorten the chassis of the Airfix kit to fit the toy tank. The tank is about the same length as the Bachmann tank, but smaller in diameter - but since the chassis sits higher, the net result is negligible. I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out.

I also used some Bachmann wheel sets - the ones that came with the kit were pretty bad. You may notice that I am also using Kadee couplers - I find they are a lot more reliable than any other style.
The only thing I was disappointed with was the mold line across the middle of the tank. To be honest, it didn't become apparent until after I applied the weathering.

I recently purchased one here: http://www.wholesaletrains.com/Detail.asp?Scale=HO&Item=160Thomas&offset=50&ID=200411467
They also have the original version of the Oil tanker

I believe it has, but I think you should be able to find some for sale on the internet.

Another option is Troublesome Truck #3. If you don't like the face, they pop off fairly easily. Then you can paint it dark red or whatever suits you.

I'll check Wikia, since that's how I posted them.
EDIT: They were removed. Oh, and could someone tell me how else I could post Photo's?
I use Photobucket - it's free

Thomas & Friends / Re: Bachmanns Future for HO Thomas

A well written piece, and I share your hopes, especially for the original three. But (and please forgive me if I misunderstood) I am concerned about this statement:

...and make sure the buffers and height line up with Bachmanns other HO stock...
The fact that Thomas' front buffer is lower than standard is part of the Thomas lore. It really should be lower. The Rev Awdry tried to fix it, but it seemed to just stay with Thomas. I really hope they don't try to adjust it back up.
